The positive about living in Aven is that I am now absolved of responsibility from my tasks. According to my supervisor, I won't be responsible for an accidental power outage or water shortage due to contact-high. My organization is aware and noted Aven's marijuana smoking issue. Just FYI, whenever the potheads triggered the emergency fire alarm, all elevators automatically return to the lobby and reset for 15 minutes. So, why bother to have "No Smoking" clause in the leasing contract if no intent to enforce it? I get it, this a business; Aven is not our parents nor should it be.
The staff at the front desk are incredibly kind and helpful, but the ongoing elevator situation has been very frustrating. 3 out of 5 Elevators are out of service. Management has offered no meaningful compensation or actual updates on repair timeline.
UPDATE: As of today (October 3rd), our elevators are STILL down. Our rent portal is also malfunctioning and we cannot see/pay our utilities. If we need a maintenance request, we must go all the way down to the front desk to manually fill one out & pray maintenance gets to it soon. My AC is down and it’s 102 degrees outside. Not to mention, my front door battery still dies every 2 months. I’m locked out of my unit every time. I’ve repeatedly asked management for a solution and as of today, there’s still no resolution. Amenities haven't improved and remain rundown. DO NOT MOVE INTO AVEN.
